I phoned in sick to Job 2 and took Mr Squooshable to the vet. It was
not a scratched eye, he had a big wad of fuzz on his eye that to me
looked like a scratch and loose eye skin, but Dr Vet flushed out in
two minutes, charged me nothing, and told me to stay off the Internet.
:-) sigh. I needed the rest anyway.

This last week seems to have been a rough one for the kids. I hadn't read anything since July 7 until just now, and now ... yup, worried. Glad the scratch was a hair. Tell Romeo we're pulling for him here. --Scott
